Sam Bahadur, also known as General Sam Manekshaw, was India's first Field Marshal.
He played a pivotal role in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, which led to the creation of Bangladesh.
Manekshaw's leadership during the 1965 India-Pakistan war and the subsequent ceasefire showcased his tactical acumen.
His famous quote, "I don't want to be the Field Marshal who won the war but lost the peace," reflects his strategic foresight.
He passed away in 2008, leaving behind a lasting legacy which will be portraited by Vicky Kaushal, release date 1st Dec 2023.
